Elvira Alvarez

Elvira Alvarez has extensive experience in administrative roles, primarily within the financial and technology sectors. Since February 2012, Alvarez has been with BBVA, serving as an Executive Assistant to various high-level executives, including the Global Head of Communications, Global Head of Public Affairs, Chief Officer of Global Regulation & Public Affairs, and Head of Risk Management. Prior to BBVA, Alvarez worked at IBM as a Personal Assistant in the South West Internet of Things division from August 2005 to February 2012. Earlier experience includes serving as a Personal Assistant to the General Manager at Oasis Hotels & Resorts and a trainee concierge at Hotel Ritz Madrid. Alvarez began a career in travel as a Travel Agent at VIAJES HALCON, S.A. and American Express Global Business Travel. Educationally, Alvarez holds a degree in Tourism and Travel Management from Escuela de Turismo Sol, obtained between 1992 and 1995.
