Javier Marsal Moyano

Javier Marsal Moyano, CFA, CAd, serves as the Head of Global Investment & Wealth Management at BBVA since April 2022, focusing on establishing a cohesive Global Investment function. Prior to this role, Javier held various significant positions at BBVA Asset Management en España from June 1999 to July 2022, including Head of Global Investment Management, responsible for investment teams across multiple countries and reporting directly to the Global CEO. Javier also served as European CIO and led single asset teams while guiding a thirty-person team, and has experience as Head of Project Management, overseeing investment process implementation and performance monitoring. Javier’s earlier roles included Head of Equities and Head of Spanish Equities, along with various positions within the middle office and as a Portfolio Manager. Javier began a career in finance as a Junior Analyst at Banco Exterior de España - Argentaria, participating in notable initial public offerings. His academic credentials include a Master in Portfolio Management from the Options and Futures Institute and a Licenciado in Law and Economic and Business Sciences from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
