Sonia Mendizábal

Sonia Mendizábal is an expert data scientist currently working at BBVA AI Factory since October 2022. Previously, Sonia held various roles including data external consultant at ECLAC and data scientist at Rappi. Sonia also served as a data science consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and worked as an R programming tutor at ECLAC. Additional experience includes positions at geek end and Sinnia as a senior data scientist and data scientist, respectively. Sonia has contributed as an independent consultant and has been involved with Philip Morris International and the Data Science for Social Good Foundation as a data science consultant and fellow. Sonia holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, both from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
