Thomas Zahn

Thomas Zahn is the current Vice Rector Research at bbw Hochschule. Prior to this, they were with Elsevier from February 2011 to November 2013 as the Geschäftsführer Health Risk Analytics. Their responsibilities included building and leading the Health Risk Analytics department to connect billing and treatment data with secured medical knowledge. From December 2013 to July 2019, they were the Geschäftsführer GeWINO Gesundheitswissenschaftliches Institut Nordost with AOK Nordost. In this role, they were responsible for applied health care research, potential analysis, success evaluation, and solution-oriented analysis of developments in the health care landscape in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Prior to that, they were also Geschäftsführer at HRI Health Risk Institute GmbH from November 2011 to May 2013 and DxCG Gesundheitsanalytik GmbH from March 2008 to March 2010. Thomas started their career at Accenture in January 2005 and worked there until December 2008 as a Senior Manager.

Dr. Ing. Thomas Zahn is a neuroinformatics researcher at the Max Planck Institut für Neurobilogie - LMU - TUI. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Bimedical Engineering - Clinical Management from the University of Miami and a Dipl. Ing. in Biomedizinsche Technik und Informatik from the Technische Universität Ilmenau.
