Laura Blackman

Laura Blackman is an experienced manager with a strong background in planning and risk management, currently serving as the Manager of Planning and Risk Management at BC Assessment since June 2009. Laura has developed and implemented corporate frameworks for strategic planning and risk management while overseeing complex program delivery. Previous roles at BC Assessment include Acting Manager of Integrated Planning and Risk Management and Senior Program Analyst, where responsibilities included corporate performance measurement and stakeholder engagement. In addition, Laura is the Owner and Consulting Partner at Happy Homebrewer, offering a range of fermentation supplies and expertise. Prior experience includes a Senior Policy Analyst position at the BC Ministry of Environment and management at Beadworld. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Risk Management from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria.
