Quynh Doan is the interim senior executive director at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute. Quynh has previously worked as the associate director of Novel Education in Research and Design (NERD) block at The University of British Columbia, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency Medicine. In this role, they were responsible for introducing faculty members from the department of pediatrics as instructors and moderating half of the block. Doan has also worked as an instructor for the NERD block at Vancouver General Hospital.

Quynh Doan has a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from McGill University and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Care and Epidemiology from The University of British Columbia / UBC. Quynh also has Fellowship Training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine from The University of British Columbia and Residency Training in Pediatrics from The University of British Columbia. Lastly, they have an MHSc in Healthcare and Epidemiology from The University of British Columbia.
