Sandy Eix

Sandy Eix has extensive experience in STEM education and advocacy, currently serving as Board Chair and Board Member at the Science & Technology Awareness Network since February 2019. Sandy also holds the position of Director of STEM Learning and Science Learning Lead at Science World since August 1996, and actively participates on the Youth Engagement Committee of the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology since May 2012, focusing on programming that promotes gender diversity in STEM. Previous involvement includes roles as MC and Director of Outreach at SCWIST from 2000 to 2018. Sandy Eix holds a PhD in Physics from Simon Fraser University, a BSc in Physics from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Education in Science Education from Queen's University.
