Matt Crossley

Matt Crossley has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Matt started their career in 2000 as a Network Administrator at Netnanny Software, where they supported various client platforms and maintained network infrastructure. Matt then moved on to work at BioPassword as a Junior Developer, playing a key role in porting the product to different platforms. In 2002, they joined Paystone Technologies Corp as a Network Administrator, responsible for managing operational activities and server administration.

From 2006 to 2015, Matt worked at Rocky Mountaineer, where they held positions as a Lead Network Analyst and later as Manager of Technology Services & Operations. In these roles, they managed infrastructure operations, implemented IT support procedures, and negotiated vendor contracts.

In 2015, they joined Latitude Geographics as an Information Systems Team Lead, overseeing infrastructure services and ensuring system security and user satisfaction. Following this, they worked at Camosun College as a Manager of Infrastructure and Software Services, responsible for ERP systems, project management, and information security.

Currently, Matt is working at BC Transit, where they started in 2019 as an Enterprise Business Systems Manager before being promoted to the position of Director of IT Business Services. In their current role, they lead a diverse team, focusing on project management, data analysis, privacy integration, and information management to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated strong leadership skills, collaboration abilities, and expertise in various aspects of IT operations and management.

Matt Crossley has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership from Royal Roads University, obtained between 2020 and 2022. Matt also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Thompson Rivers University, earned from 2014 to 2019. Furthermore, they have a Network Technology Diploma in Network and System Administration/Administrator from CDI College, completed in 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Matt Crossley has obtained various certifications. These include ICAgile Certified Professional in Enterprise Agile Coaching and Coaching Agile Transformations from ICAgile (expected in 2023), Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) certification (2020), ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice (2016), VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification (2012), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (2008), Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) certification from Sun Microsystems (2002), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification (2000).
