Matthew Boyd

Matthew Boyd has a diverse work experience in various companies. Matthew started their career in 2005 as a Sales Associate at Tourism Vancouver. In 2008, they joined Coast Mountain Bus Company as an Assistant Service Planner, and later became a Service Planner and then a Senior Service Planner. In 2012, they joined BC Transit as a Senior Planner - Regional Planning Work Lead, and later became a Planning Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Corporate & Strategic Planning at BC Transit. Matthew is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of Victoria.

Matthew Boyd has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Victoria, which they obtained from 1999-2004. Matthew also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Victoria, which they completed from 2018-2020. In addition to their degrees, Matthew has obtained certifications, including the People First Leadership Program from UBC Sauder School of Business in 2021, the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate from Queen's University in 2019, and the Registered Professional Planner MCIP, RPP from the Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC) in 2015.
