Nigel Couch MSyl serves as the Manager of Corporate Security & Emergency Management at B.C. Transit since January 2014, overseeing security for the largest transit agency in North America. As a self-employed Security Consultant since September 2011 and a former Cultural Competence & Diversity Consultant for the Multicultural Council of Windsor & Essex County, Nigel has developed expertise in cross-cultural communication and diversity training. Previous roles include Police Inspector at the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, where strategies for community policing and crime reduction were implemented, and Executive Director of Victim Services of Windsor and Essex County, focused on strategic planning and program development. Nigel's extensive law enforcement experience includes serving as a Police Inspector with the British Transport Police, managing counter-terrorism strategies, and as a Police Officer and Sergeant with Hertfordshire Constabulary, specializing in community relations. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Policing from Canterbury Christ Church University and a Community Leadership Certificate from the University of Windsor.
