Carl D.

Carl D. is an experienced Open Source Developer and Platform and Automation Team Lead with a strong background in cloud engineering and DevOps practices. Currently employed at "Down At The Bottom Of The Molehole" since March 2024, Carl focuses on creating Terraform modules and Chocolatey packages for the open source community. At BCA UK, since January 2022, Carl leads a team of platform and automation engineers, managing pipeline development and infrastructure as code using Azure DevOps and Terraform across multiple subscriptions. Previous experience includes roles as a Cloud Engineer at Crawford & Company and ICT Support Analyst for West Midlands Fire Service and National Fire Chiefs Council, where Carl contributed to system migrations, cloud resource management, and compliance initiatives. Carl holds a BSc in Computer Networks from The University of Wolverhampton and various qualifications in computing and IT.
