Sherron Burgess has a diverse work experience in information security and management. Since 2019, Sherron has held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at BCD Travel, where they have been responsible for the development and execution of a global security program supporting sales of $27.5 billion in 109 countries. Prior to this, Sherron held multiple positions at BCD Travel, including Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, Vice President of Information Security, Senior Director of Information Security Officer, Director of Information Protection & Security, and Manager of Information Protection & Security - Audit & Compliance. These roles involved implementing security programs, analyzing government security requirements, and prioritizing security control application across global operations. Additionally, Sherron has experience as a Contractor-Data Auditor/Document Coordinator at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Sherron has also served as a board member of the nonprofit organizations Cyversity and Chief, acting as Vice Chair and Vice President, respectively.

Sherron Burgess holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which was earned from 2005 to 2006.
