Colby Adams

Immediate Disaster Manager at BCFS

Colby Adams has extensive experience in emergency response and disaster management. From 2016 onwards, they worked as an Immediate Disaster Manager at BCFS Health & Human Services, where they successfully integrated emergency response organizations and resources during various disasters in Texas. Prior to this, Colby served as a Firefighter and Grant Writer at Van Meter Fire & Rescue from 2003 to 2009, providing structural fire suppression and teaching first aid and CPR. Colby also held the position of Operations Manager at Midwest Ambulance Service of Iowa, Inc. from 1998 to 2009, focusing on EMS and CPR. Additionally, Colby worked as a Wildland Firefighter at Utah County Fire Department from 1995 to 1997.

Colby Adams began their education in 2003 at Mercy College of Health Sciences, where they obtained a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician Basic. Colby then went on to attend Utah Valley University from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Emergency Services Management Wildland. In May 2009, they also obtained an additional certification as an Incident Commander from FEMA.
