Kevin C. Dinnin

President & CEO at BCFS

For more than 25 years, Kevin C. Dinnin has served as President & CEO of BCFS, a global system of health and human service non-profit organizations. Since its founding in 1944, the organization has impacted the lives of countless millions from coast-to-coast and around the world.

When Dinnin first joined BCFS, the agency operated a children’s campus on the south end of San Antonio, Texas. Today, under his leadership, BCFS is recognized nationally as a leader in emergency management and response, and is often tapped to provide medical sheltering and other critical emergency support services to federal, state and local governments during disasters. The agency also operates residential campuses for children who are abused or neglected and provides assisted living services and vocational training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; mental health services for children and families; foster care and adoption services; life skills training and other support for teens and young adults; pre-natal and post-partum health services; early education; and international humanitarian aid for children living in impoverished conditions in developing countries.

Not only has Dinnin worked to increase the breadth of services of BCFS, but he has also dedicated his time to strengthening and growing other important causes.

Following the September 11th attacks, Dinnin was appointed to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services national summit, “When Terror Strikes.” There, he served on the Secretary’s Task Force for Promoting Healing and Restoring Hope for America’s Children and Families, and the National Advisory Committee on Children and Terrorism.

Dinnin has also served on the board of directors for the Family Violence Prevention Services/Battered Women’s Shelter and Lighthouse for the Blind in San Antonio; executive committee and board of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce; is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals; and has served as governor and lt. governor of the International Association of Lions Clubs, chairman and member of the board of directors for Texas State Youth and Government, and member of the University of Texas Health Science Center Advisory Council for the School of Nursing. He is also a past chairman of ChildSafe.
