Senior Legal Counsel at BC Financial Services Authority

Kristine Mactaggart Wright has had an extensive career in the legal field. Kristine started as an Articled Student at Alexander, Holburn, Beaudin & Lang in 1998 and then became an Associate at Bull Housser & Tupper in 1999. In 2000, they joined the BC Securities Commission as Legal Counsel, where they handled complex public interest litigation matters and enforcement hearings. Kristine stayed with the BC Securities Commission for 15 years, eventually becoming Senior Litigation Counsel. In 2015, they joined the BC Financial Institutions Commission (FICOM) as Executive Director, Conduct Supervision- Financial Institutions Division. However, they left FICOM before its transition to the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA). In 2015, they also worked as a Lawyer (non-practicing) and served as a Board Member and Volunteer. Kristine Mactaggart Wright holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Toronto, which they obtained in 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH) degree in Political Studies and Economics at Queen's University in 1995.
