Amy MacDougall

Amy MacDougall (Hurwitz), Ph.D., is a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group since January 2017, specializing in corporate finance and strategy. With extensive experience in strategy development for large organizations, Amy focuses on shareholder value acceleration, transformation, and innovation. Prior roles at BCG include Principal and Project Leader, where notable projects involved growth strategies in medtech and corporate sustainability initiatives. In addition to consulting, Amy serves as a Startup Coach at SXSW and Energizing Health, assisting startups in health innovation. Amy is the founder of enventure.org, fostering collaboration between academic and business communities, and previously held roles at BioHouston and Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. Amy earned a PhD in Translational Biology & Molecular Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California.
