Senior Managing Director, Partner & Social Impact Global Lead at BCG

Rich Hutchinson is the MD & Senior Partner; Social Impact Practice Leader at BCG. Rich has over 20 years of experience in consulting, including deep engagement in BCG's SI work. Rich has played a key role driving BCG's thought leadership across a wide range of SI topics, from addressing climate change to eliminating Hepatitis C.

Hutchinson has worked with senior client executives and led consultant teams across a variety of assignments. Rich was elected partner in late 2004 and senior partner in 2010. Rich's work focuses on helping clients increase profits, achieve competitive advantage, drive profitable growth, and build capability.

Some examples of Hutchinson's leadership within BCG and client impact include: leading BCG's global SI Practice; previously leading BCG's global pricing enablement center; member of BCG’s global Executive and Operating committees; and part of leadership team (and co-architect of recession response) that from 2007 has led BCG to over 30 percent growth in revenues, 3 of our most profitable years, and full bonuses / no layoffs for staff during the Great recession.

Rich Hutchinson's educational career includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University.
