Karen Ward, CPHR, CEC, ACC, currently serves as the Acting Director of Human Resources at BCI and has held various senior roles in talent management and learning and development since September 2019. As the owner and head coach of ShredTheir Mountain Biking since June 2021, Karen has also been the principal at Forward Focus Coaching & Consulting since March 2018, specializing in coaching and leadership development. Previous experience includes extensive roles in strategic human resources across multiple ministries within the BC Public Service from 2006 to 2019, as well as guest lecturing on leadership development at the University of Victoria. Educational qualifications include degrees from The University of British Columbia, Camosun College, and Royal Roads University, where Karen completed a Graduate Studies Program in Executive Coaching.
