Mel de Jager

Mel de Jager is an experienced professional in the fields of climate change, resilience, and sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of ESG at BCI since November 2022 and as a Director on the Board of Clean Foundation since July 2022, Mel has previously held significant positions at WSP, including Vice President and National Director of Climate Change, Resilience & Sustainability. Mel's career also includes roles such as Senior Advisor at WSP, Principal at SSG, Development Manager at Simon Fraser University, and various engineering positions. Mel holds a Master of Planning from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Urban Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
