Ricardo Villa has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ricardo started their career in 1994 as a Network Operations Center Engineer at Occel Celular, where they supervised the Nortel cell site and provided support to field technicians. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as a Tech Support Engineer at IBM, and then joined Nortel Networks in 1998 in the same role, providing technical support to Latin American wireless and data customers. In 2003, Villa co-founded and managed TeleSIP Networks LLC until 2015. Ricardo then joined BCN Telecom as the Director of Managed Services and IT, where they currently work.
Ricardo Villa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Santa Clara University from 1989 to 1994. Ricardo also has additional certifications in CCENT Routing and Switching from Cisco, VCA-DCV from VMware, and dCAA - Digium Certified Asterisk Administrator from Digium.
