Uditha Ranaweera

Uditha Ranaweera has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Uditha is currently the Founder and Non-Executive Director at Cigma Capital (Pvt) Limited since 2022.

Prior to this, they worked as the Global Chief Financial Officer at BCS Technology International Pty Ltd, where they were responsible for overall management of finance and non-finance personnel. Uditha also streamlined operational processes and provided strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior global leadership team.

Uditha also held roles at Colombo Land and Development PLC, where they served as a Member of the Management Council and an Alternate Director from 2021 to 2022. Uditha was a Member of the Audit Committee, Non-Executive Director, and Member of the Remuneration Committee at HVA FOODS PLC (HELADIV) from 2021 to 2022.

From 2014 to 2022, Uditha worked as the Group Chief Financial Officer at George Steuart and Company Limited. Uditha was responsible for driving the portfolio of businesses, implementing frameworks and systems, and strategizing the operating model of the group.

Before this, they held various roles at George Steuart Finance PLC, including Director/CEO and Director of Business Development, where they played a key role in re-formulating business processes, transitioning the company for listing, and transforming the business portfolio.

Uditha began their career at PwC Sri Lanka as an Associate Consultant in 2011 and worked as an Analyst at Amba Research from 2010 to 2011. Uditha started their professional journey as a Junior Analyst at KMPG Sri Lanka in 2007.

Overall, Uditha Ranaweera has a strong background in finance, management, and strategic planning, with extensive experience in diverse sectors such as technology, real estate, and finance.

Uditha Ranaweera completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business at the University of Kent from 2004 to 2007. Before that, they attended the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, where they studied Accounting and Business/Management until 2012. Uditha completed their secondary education at Colombo International School from 2002 to 2004 and attended Ananda College from 1991 until 2002 for their earlier education.
