John Reed has a long and varied work experience. john began their career in 2006 as a Pricing Analyst at Bank of America. In 2007, they moved to Monroe Shine Certified Public Accountants, where they were an Associate Auditor and Tax specialist. In 2008, they joined Plaut and Associates Certified Public Accountants as an Auditor. In 2010, they began working at KCTCS as a General Ledger Accountant and Budget Analyst. In 2012, they moved to the University of Colorado Boulder as a Finance Supervisor. In 2013, they became a Senior Financial Analyst (Divisional Fiscal Officer) at Adams County Finance, where they inherited a multi-year budget deficit with several audit findings and a pending federal audit. john was able to turn the situation around and produce a budget surplus within the first year, with staff raises. In 2016, they moved to Boulder County Finance as a Senior Financial Analyst (Finance Project Manager). In 2019, they joined Commercial Credit Management & Associates as a Project Business Analyst, where they provided AR/AP management, cash management, internal audit, month-end close, reconciliations and budgeting, and forecasting. In 2020, they founded and became the CEO of Cycling 360°. Finally, in 2022, they joined BCT Partners as a Senior Financial Analyst. At BCT, they managed all FP&A activities for 16 LOBs, and built and implemented an interactive LOB financial dashboard & consolidated financials with forecast models.

John Reed has a varied educational background. john holds a Master of Business Administration from LSU Shreveport, where they studied Finance & Entrepreneurship. john also holds a Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University, where they studied Financial Crime. Reed earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Theirtory from Kentucky Wesleyan College and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Louisville.
