Stephen Mette

Stephen Mette is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive leadership experience in various roles. Currently serving as Senior Advisor at BDC Advisors, LLC since September 2022, Mette previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center from October 2019 to January 2023. Mette also contributed significantly to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in multiple capacities, including Senior Vice Chancellor for UAMS Health and Chief Clinical Officer, among others, from 2015 to 2023. Prior to this, Mette was Chief of the Department of Critical Care at Maine Medical Center, overseeing a large team and budget. Mette's earlier career includes directing the Medical Intensive Care Unit at The Graduate Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, and receiving extensive medical training through prestigious fellowships and residencies at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Mette holds a Doctor of Medicine from Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Reed College.
