Michael Schoellhorn serves as the CEO of Airbus Defence and Space since February 2019, with comprehensive oversight of the division’s operations and offerings ranging from satellites to military aircraft. Formerly, Schoellhorn was the COO of Airbus and has held various executive positions at BSH Home Appliances and Bosch, where responsibilities included global business unit management and production oversight in the automotive sector. An academic background includes a PhD in Control Engineering from Helmut Schmidt University and executive education in strategy and finance from renowned institutions. Schoellhorn's career began as a military aviator in the German Federal Armed Forces, where foundational leadership skills were developed.
