Ashane Jayasekara FCA, CFE, CIA, CISA has extensive work experience in the field of accountancy and professional services. Ashane started their career as an Audit Trainee-Manager at BR De Silva & Co. From there, they worked as a Director at Nexia Management Services (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka, a leading firm providing audit and consulting services. Ashane also held various roles at BDO in Sri Lanka and Maldives, including Managing Director of BDO Partners (Pvt) Ltd, Deputy Managing Partner of BDO Sri Lanka, and Managing Partner of BDO Maldives. Additionally, they served as the Partner and Head of Fraud & Forensic Accounting Services, Partner in the Human Capital department, and Partner and Head of Risk and Technology Services at BDO Sri Lanka. Ashane also had the responsibilities of being the IT Director/CIO and Head of Brand and Marketing at BDO. Furthermore, they served as the Chairman/Director of BT Communications Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Ashane Jayasekara has a diverse and comprehensive background in various aspects of accounting, auditing, and business management.

Ashane Jayasekara FCA, CFE, CIA, CISA has an extensive education history in various fields. They obtained an FCA degree in Financial Accounting and Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. They also earned an FCMA (UK) degree in Management Accounting and Finance from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2004 to 2007.

In 2020, Ashane pursued an Associate degree at the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators Siarb. Additionally, they completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Information Technology & Intellectual Property at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2020 to 2021.

Furthermore, Ashane holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern Queensland, earned in 2007 to 2008. They also obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Information Systems from London Metropolitan University (London Guildhall University merged with University of North London) from 2000 to 2003.

In 2013, they acquired an FBCS (UK) degree from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, specializing in Computing and Information Technology. Ashane also possesses a background in Marketing/Marketing Management from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Ashane is also a Certified Financial Services Auditor - USA (CFSA) and a Certified Internal Auditor - USA (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., obtained in September 2009 and January 2009, respectively. They hold a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator Certification (CHFI) from EC-Council since August 2020. Additionally, they possess a CompTIA A+ Certification from CompTIA.
