Karen Cua

Karen Cua is an accomplished banking executive with extensive experience in financial services, currently serving as Senior Vice President at BDO Unibank, where Karen heads the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment. Under Karen's leadership, the MSME lending business model was designed and launched, expanding to over 300 locations and managing a large team of 1500+ employees while overseeing P&L responsibilities. Prior to this role, Karen was Vice President and led corporate strategic program management at BDO, developing a five-year strategy endorsed by senior leadership. Earlier career experiences include significant positions at BOC Fullerton Community Bank, where revenue growth and market penetration were achieved, and at McKinsey & Company, where Karen managed cross-industry and global projects. Karen holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University.
