Jan Van Acoleyen

Jan Van Acoleyen has extensive work experience in various leadership and board roles. Jan served as the Human Capital Lead and a member of the Executive Committee at Proximus from 2016. In 2020, they became the Chairman of the Board and Non Executive Director at Be-Mobile. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Directors and Non Executive Director at SD Worx since 2015. Jan also held positions as a Member of the Board of Directors and a Non Executive Independent Director at Vlaeynatie from 2022. Jan was a Member of the Board of Directors at Experience@Work from 2016 and at SD Worx Staffing & Career Solutions from 2018.

Jan's earlier roles include being the Senior Vice President Barco & Chief HR Officer at Barco from 2007 to 2016 and the Corporate VP HR at Agfa Gevaert from 2004 to 2006. Jan held various HR leadership positions at Alcatel, including VP HR Northern Europe, WW VP HR Alcatel Microelectronics, and SR HR Officer Alcatel Bell from 1994 to 2004. Prior to their roles at Alcatel, Jan worked as a Business & Consulting Manager at DIP Mgt Consultants from 1988 to 1994.

Jan completed the International Directors Program at INSEAD from 2019 to 2020, focusing on Corporate Governance. They also received a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD Executive Education in April 2020.

In 1998, Jan pursued a program on HR Strategy in transforming organizations at the London Business School, specializing in Human Resources Management and Services.

From 1990 to 1992, Jan studied at the Antwerp Management School and obtained an EMBA (PPB), concentrating on Business Management.

Lastly, Jan obtained a Master's degree in Educational Sciences from KU Leuven, completing their studies from 1981 to 1986.
