Scott Karsen, CPA, CA has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Scott is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at BE Power Equipment since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at The Universal Group as the Universal Group - Chief Financial Officer, where they played a crucial role in the company's rapid growth and expansion. Scott also held the position of Acting President & CFO at Ansan Traffic Group.
Before their role at The Universal Group, Scott Karsen served as the Chief Financial Officer at Beachcomber Hot Tubs and Certified Coating Specialists Inc. Scott was responsible for leading all financial aspects and reporting to the Board of Directors in both companies.
Scott Karsen also gained valuable experience at Tyco Integrated Security and ADT Security Services, where they held VP Finance and Director of Finance, Commercial Operations roles respectively. Scott successfully completed a divestiture and led the spin-off of ADT's commercial business into a separate public company.
Prior to that, Scott Karsen worked as the VP Finance & Administration at Intercon Security and as the VP & Controller, US Region at Impark. Scott played a key role in the sale and integration of Intercon Security into ADT's organization and implemented reorganization plans at Impark.
Scott Karsen's early career includes roles at Labatt Breweries of Canada and International Aqua Foods Ltd., where they held managerial positions and contributed to financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management.

Scott Karsen, CPA, CA has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance, General from The University of British Columbia, obtained in the years 1984 to 1989. Scott also completed the Chartered Accountancy Program from 1989 to 1992. In 2001, they attended the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants for the CFO Leadership program.
