Senior Algorithm/research Software Engineer at Beacon Biosignals

Dave Kleinschmidt has a strong background in academia and research. Dave is currently working as a Research Scientist at Beacon Biosignals since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rutgers University–New Brunswick from August 2018 to January 2021. Dave also worked as a CV Starr Fellow at Princeton University's Neuroscience Institute from September 2016 to August 2018. Before that, they were a PhD Candidate in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester from 2010 to August 2016, where they focused on Bayesian belief updating models of linguistic adaptation. Furthermore, they served as a Bagget Fellow in Linguistics at the University of Maryland from August 2009 to August 2010.

Dave Kleinschmidt completed their education in the field of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from 2010 to 2016. Prior to this, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Williams College from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Mathematics.
