Ilan Goodman has a diverse work experience in various technology companies. Ilan is currently the VP Platform at Beacon Biosignals since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Numina as an Advisor starting in April 2020. Ilan also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Numina from October 2017 to April 2020.
Before joining Numina, Ilan worked at Oden Technologies as the Vice President of Engineering. During their tenure from April 2020 to November 2021, they led the engineering and product teams in building a machine learning based "Industry 4.0" platform for optimizing manufacturing production.
Ilan's early work experience includes their role as the Chief Technology Officer at Park Assist, LLC from September 2013 to October 2017. Ilan played a crucial role in developing and scaling an innovative computer vision IoT product for parking garages. Ilan was also involved in the company's acquisition and helped grow it to over 100 employees and $50m annual revenue. Prior to their role as CTO, they served as the VP of Engineering at Park Assist from July 2012 to September 2013.
Additionally, Ilan worked as a Research and Development Manager at Park Assist from June 2010 to July 2012, leading a team of engineers in developing computer vision algorithms for embedded systems. Ilan also contributed to the creation of a web-based tool for error correction, image annotation, and model management. Before assuming these roles, Ilan served as a Lead Engineer (consultant) at Park Assist from July 2006 to June 2010, where they led the development of the company's first hardware IoT product and managed the software engineering team.
Prior to their industry experience, Ilan worked at Rice University as a Research Assistant from September 2002 to April 2010 and as a Teaching Fellow from August 2004 to December 2004. Ilan also worked as an Engineering Consultant and an Engineering Intern at Time Domain Corporation in 2002 and 2001, respectively.
Ilan Goodman's education history begins with their enrollment at Western University from 1998 to 2002. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they joined Rice University in 2002 and completed their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2004. Ilan continued their studies at Rice University and obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering, which they pursued from 2004 to 2010.
