Kyle Soeltz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kyle currently works as a Senior Front-End Software Engineer at Beacon Biosignals since January 2022. In their previous role at Harvard's Center for International Development from February 2019 to January 2022, they led the front-end development of open-source software, web applications, and data visualization tools that were featured in major media outlets and recognized for awards.
Before that, they founded Wilderlist in April 2018 and served as a Founder, Full-Stack Web Application Engineer, and Designer until December 2021. Kyle conceptualized and developed a popular web application for planning and tracking hiking goals, utilizing MongoDB, AWS, Node.js/Express servers, and GraphQL/REST API endpoints.
Prior to that, Kyle worked at Motivis Learning as a Front-End Developer from January 2016 to March 2018. Kyle developed a complete design system, created a component library, and built interactive components for their learning management software.
Earlier in their career, they worked as a Web Developer at Digital Artisans from September 2015 to December 2016 and as a Front-End Developer at COMSOL, Inc. from October 2014 to September 2015, where they also held a Junior Front-End Developer position from October 2014 to March 2015.
Additionally, Kyle has self-employed experience as a Web Developer, taking on various clients such as Building Brainiacs, Bass Bodies, Rawz, and RSK Marble & Granite from June 2014 to August 2015. Kyle also worked as a Motion Graphic Designer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from January 2014 to May 2014, and as a Freelance Motion Graphic Designer for musician Paul Tryon from June 2013 to May 2014.
Kyle Soeltz earned a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, studying from 2010 to 2014. Kyle later pursued a Graduate Certificate in Back-End Web Development from the Harvard Extension School, completing the program from 2019 to 2021.
