Portia Gomes

Portia Gomes has been working in the professional world since 2009. Portia began their career as a Sales Assistant at Robinsons of Bawtry and then moved on to a Bartender position at the Crown Hotel Bawtry in 2012. That same year, they also had a Work Shadowing placement at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management. In 2013, they became the Bar Manager and Front of House at The Jinja Tree. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Incident Control Officer, Finance & Claims Analyst, and Head of System Insights & Culture at hiyacar. Currently, they are a Senior Operations Associate, Platform Operations Associate, and Global Operations Coordinator at Beacon.

Portia Gomes attended Hill House School, Doncaster from 1997 to 2009. Portia then attended Worksop College from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they attended Newcastle University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Finally, they attended The University of Sheffield from 2016 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics.
