Beacon Grand
A Legacy Reimagined Since 1928, this hotel has served as an icon of San Francisco’s progress and hospitality. When we reopen our door late-Spring, we will reopen as the Beacon Grand, an homage to the spirit of all the history makers who built The City and this hotel. A guiding light to lure all those who will gather to write our next chapter here at Union Square. Check the #LinkInBio to pre-book or read more about our transformation, and the exciting developments still to come. As a vibrant social beacon, we will once again welcome locals and guests to San Francisco’s “living room,” drawn by the gleam of a rooftop star. Like the city-defining world’s fairs that bookended its debut, the hotel celebrates those who built (and rebuilt) San Francisco and welcomes those arriving next. A bridge from old to new, the city to you. For nearly 100 years, Sir Francis Drake Hotel has called upon guests, visitors, and locals alike to come together, celebrate, and make history. Our new moniker, Beacon Grand, distinguishes our latest experiences and celebrates our iconic status and forever purpose as a social circle at Union Square. The hotel opens a next chapter in 2022, re-dedicated to serving as a social beacon at the heart of The City. Under the stewardship of Northview Hotel Group, operators of landmark hospitality destinations across the nation, the storied past shines again and lights the way for staff, guests, and San Franciscans alike. As Cable Cars rumble past the front door, revamped rooms and celebrated public spaces will emerge within. A new social circle on Union Square will again lure people to the heart of The City, where history is forever starting now.
