Tan Patrick S.K. is an experienced anesthesiologist and intensivist currently working at Beacon Hospital and Quill Orthopaedic Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd since May 2020 and February 2014, respectively. With a longstanding career that began in April 2000 at UM Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd, Tan also served as a professor at the University of Malaya and University of Malaya Medical Centre from December 1990 to January 2014. Additionally, Tan has international experience as a Clinical and Research Fellow in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre and University of Toronto Hospital For Sick Children in 1996, and as a Senior Registrar in Anaesthesia & Intensive Care at Hammersmith Hospital in London from 1987 to 1990. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), FRCA, FANZCA, and EDIC, obtained from Queen Mary Royal London Hospital, with earlier education at The Leys School Cambridge and St Xavier's Institution Penang.
