Nathan Beck

Nathan Beck has been working in the software development industry since 2007. In 2011, they worked as a Marketing Specialist for the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining customized email campaigns, designing retail POS systems, and providing marketing assistance for visual media, branding/logo, and signage. In 2014, they attended the METIS Ruby on Rails Developer Program at Thoughtbot in Boston. In 2015, they began working as a Director of Software Development at Beacon Interactive Systems, where they helped revolutionize the way the United States Navy and Air Force processes information. Nathan also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Beacon Interactive Systems, utilizing Angular, .NET, Rails, AWS, Docker, nginx, deploying complex JS clients with task runners like NGX Build+, ng CLI, gulp, grunt, and node. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer in 2015.

Nathan Beck graduated from Marshfield High School in 2006, then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cellular Biology & Genetics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010. In 2017, they began pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Boston University, which they are currently working towards.
