Brent Reeves

Petroleum Engineer at Beacon Offshore Energy

Brent Reeves has extensive work experience in the petroleum engineering field. Brent started their career in 1980 at Shell as a Drilling Engineer. Brent then worked at SOHIO as a Drilling Engineer, where they specialized in deep well drilling and corrosive fluid environments. In 1988, they joined BP as a Drilling Technical Advisor, providing technical support for BP's drilling operations worldwide. During this time, they also managed BP's Extended Reach Drilling R&D Technology efforts. In 1993, they joined Sonat Exploration as an Operations Manager and Drilling Superintendent, overseeing drilling and production operations in East Texas. In 1997, they returned to BP as the Alaska North Star Project Manager, managing the drilling project in the Beaufort Sea. Brent then served as a BP Wellsite Leader for various deepwater drilling operations, including the Atlantis project and two new build rigs. After retiring from BP, they worked as a Consulting Engineer and Wellsite Leader for Tricity Services, providing operational support to BP's deepwater rigs. Brent later rejoined BP as an Independent Consultant, supporting engineering and operations for the New Build Team. In 2014, they joined Stone Energy as a Senior Drilling Engineer and Superintendent, providing engineering and operations support for the company's contracted rig. In 2017, they started their own consulting firm, T Brent Reeves LLC Consulting, where they served as a Senior Deepwater Drilling Engineer and Superintendent. In 2018, they joined Noble Energy as the Eastern Mediterranean Operations Superintendent, overseeing operations in the region. Brent then transitioned to a Senior Deepwater Drilling Engineer role, where they were responsible for project planning and providing technical/commercial recommendations. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Beacon Offshore Energy as a Petroleum Engineer. Overall, Brent Reeves has a diverse background in drilling engineering, project management, and operational support in both onshore and offshore environments.

Brent Reeves pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from 1978 to 1980 at Louisiana Tech University.
