Jonathan Nunn has a diverse work experience starting from 2007. Jonathan worked as a Sailing Coach at Southern Yacht Club from an unspecified start date until 2012. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Staff Engineer at Offshore Operators Committee, where they provided technical advocacy for the offshore oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Their responsibilities included creating analytical databases, maintaining planning documents, analyzing safety data, and reviewing proposed legislation. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Program Specialist at DeepStar® - Global Offshore Technology Development Consortium. Currently, they are employed at Beacon Offshore Energy, where they have held various roles since 2020. These roles include Regulatory Specialist, Well Engineer & Regulatory Support, and Operations Engineer (Well Engineer).

Jonathan Nunn attended Brother Martin High School and graduated in 2012. Afterward, they enrolled at Louisiana State University and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Jonathan has obtained several certifications, including Managed Pressure Drilling Training specific to Weatherford from Transocean in October 2022, T-HUET with CA-EBS (OPITO) from Maersk Training in October 2022, Well Control for Drilling Operations, Workover Completions - Supervisory Level from the Well Control School in September 2022, and Fundamental Level for Drilling - Surface Stack Qualification from Wild Well in August 2015. Jonathan also holds certifications such as Global Entry from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a Masters License from the U.S. Coast Guard, and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) from the TSA.
