Ben Houghtaling

Ben Houghtaling, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the biomedical and scientific communications field, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Beacon Scientific Group since January 2020. Prior to this role, Houghtaling held positions as Chief Scientific Officer at Wunderman Thompson Health and served in various capacities at Phase Five Communications, culminating in a tenure as Chief Scientific Officer before the company's acquisition by Wunderman Thompson Health. Houghtaling's career began with significant academic experience, including an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at Rockefeller University and a Graduate Research Assistantship at New York University School of Medicine, following the completion of a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology. Houghtaling also earned a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo.
