Sam Meehan

Sam Meehan currently serves as the Head of Underwriting Development for Financial Institutions in the UK and Ireland at Nexus Underwriting since August 2025. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Development Underwriter for Financial Institutions at Travelers Europe from September 2021 to August 2025, focusing on the London and Irish markets. Additionally, Sam has worked as a Financial Lines Underwriter at Chubb between August 2019 and October 2021, and as an Account Manager at Whitbread Insurance Brokers from May 2017 to June 2019. Previous positions also include Account Executive roles at Edgewise Insurance Brokers and Australian Broking Group from January 2013 to December 2016 and January 2009 to January 2013, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and Tier 1 and Tier 2 certifications in Insurance Broking from Gold Seal and ANZIIF.
