Bob McGinnis, P.E., SPEC

Bob McGinnis, P.E., SPEC has a diverse work experience in the petroleum engineering industry. Bob started their career as an Engineer at Shell Oil Company in 1978 and later worked as a Production Engineer at The Superior Oil Co. from 1979 to 1981. Bob then joined Texas Oil & Gas as a Production Engineer in 1981 before moving to Transcontinental Oil as a Reservoir Engineer from 1982 to 1984. McGinnis then served as the Operations Manager at Sugar Creek Prod Co. from 1984 to 1990. In 1990, they started their own company, McGinnis Industries, Inc., where they were the President and Owner until 2006. Currently, they hold the position of President & CEO at Bear Creek Engineering, a company that provides wellsite consulting and petroleum engineering services for the upstream oil and natural gas industry. McGinnis has expertise in unconventional horizontal shale and tight oil and gas plays across various regions in the U.S.

Bob McGinnis, P.E., SPEC received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Louisiana Tech University. Bob is also certified as an Expert Witness in Petroleum Engineering by the Louisiana Office of Conservation and the Louisiana 1st, 2nd, & 42nd District Courts. Additionally, they are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Petroleum Engineering in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Bob is also certified in Petroleum Engineering by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
