Matt Kurland

Matt Kurland, CPA has extensive experience in accounting and finance roles. Matt most recently served as the Vice President of Accounting at Bear Real Estate Group, where they led the accounting team in financial reporting and analysis. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President, Property & Capital Accounting at Brookfield Properties, where they directed the accounting function for a large asset portfolio and implemented process automation initiatives. Matt also served as the VP, Corporate Controller at KemperSports, overseeing various accounting functions and improving audit planning schedules. Matt further gained experience as the Finance Director, Property & Real Estate at Walgreens Boots Alliance and as the Vice President, Corporate Financial Reporting at HSBC. Earlier in their career, they held accounting leadership positions at ORBITZ, Hewitt Associates, and UL Solutions, where they implemented financial reporting improvements and led finance teams. Matt brings a wealth of experience in financial management, analytics, and process improvement to their roles.

Matt Kurland, CPA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Bradley University: Foster College of Business. Matt also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Hyperion Essbase Bootcamp and Hyperion Essbase Spreadsheet Reporting from the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Furthermore, they are a Registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
