Jesse Johnson has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Direct Care Professional at Cascades of the Bluegrass in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Camp Counselor at Transylvania University, where they supervised 30 high school students and assisted in the instruction of Java programming language and robotics. In 2015, they were a Graduate Student at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, a Creative Technology Management Intern at Eyebeam, and a Graduate Research Assistant at NYU Augmented Reality Lab. In 2016, they were a Graduate Assistant at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and in 2017 they were a Lead Developer at BEAT THE BOMB and a Creative Technologist at Local Projects. Additionally, they worked as a Sales Associate at Payless ShoeSource in 2015.

Jesse Johnson attended Transylvania University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Jesse then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Integrated Digital Media from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, which they completed in 2017.
