Zach Chang

Senior Game Developer at BEAT THE BOMB

Zach Chang has worked in the gaming industry since 2016. Zach began their career at Galvanized as a Web Application Developer, where they designed and developed an internal website which collected, analyzed, and displayed performance information for the company's e-mail newsletters. In 2015, they interned at Galvanized in the Digital Team, using AppleScript and Adobe InDesign to automate digital magazine production. In 2014, they were an Intern in the Make-up [Page Layout] Department at The New Yorker. In 2013, they were an Administrative Assistant Intern in the Teaching Resources Department at Scholastic, where they developed customized spreadsheets using JavaScript and Google Apps Script to manage the departments' publishing plans and project budgets. In 2018, they founded Curious Visions, creating the video game \"egg is broken. heart is too.\" and launching it on Steam in April 2019. Currently, they are a Senior Game Developer at BEAT THE BOMB, where they are working on improving and expanding the Beat The Bomb game platform, both in-person and online. Zach also helped take the Beat The Bomb experience online, launching Beat The Bomb Online (now Beat The Bomb Virtual) in September 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have connected families, schools, and corporate groups through the online gaming platform.

Zach Chang attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art from 2012 to 2016 where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering. Zach then attended the same university from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng in Civil Engineering. In 2018, they obtained a Web Applications for Everybody Specialization from Coursera.
