Jon Schilling has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in the fitness and recreation industry. Jon began their career as a Personal Trainer and Member Service Representative at Bally's Fitness Club in 2006. In 2007, they transitioned to Blackstone Country Club as a Lifestyle/Fitness/Personal Trainer. After working there for a year, they joined City of Surprise as a Youth & Adult Sports Aide in 2008. Later that year, they started working at Beatitudes Campus as a Fitness Manager and eventually became the Director of Community Engagement in 2011. In 2011, they also became a Recreation Leader II at Chandler Parks & Recreation Department, where they worked until 2012. Overall, Jon has accumulated a wealth of experience in leadership, fitness management, and community engagement throughout their career.

Jon Schilling completed their education at several institutions. From 2004 to 2008, they attended Valley City State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science as well as Leisure/Sport Management. From an unspecified start year until 2006, they also studied at Valley City State University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in University Studies and focused on Physical Education and Health.

In 2013, Jon enrolled in the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, completing the program in 2014 and receiving the title of "2014 Fellow" in Leadership.

Additionally, Jon has obtained certifications to further their knowledge and expertise. In January 2018, they became a Functional Aging Specialist through the Functional Aging Institute. Jon also holds the certification of ACE Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist from the American Council on Exercise, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not available.
