Gillian Hailstones is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the charity sector. Currently serving as Deputy CEO and Director of Care Services at Beatson Cancer Charity since April 2020, Gillian previously held the position of Head of Centre Operations for Scotland at Maggie's Centres from November 2015 to April 2020. Prior experience includes working as a Ceremonies Officer at Fuze Ceremonies from August 2013 to August 2016. Gillian holds a BA(Hons) in Nursing Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MSc in Palliative Care from the University of Stirling, demonstrating a strong educational foundation in nursing and palliative care.

Beatson Cancer Charity
We exist to enhance the experience, treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of all current and former Beatson patients and their families in the broadest possible sense. Working in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the Beatson Cancer Charity delivers non-clinical services and funding enhancements in cancer treatment, care and research at the Beatson that will contribute to changing the face of cancer treatment on a local, national and international scale. Significant funding provides additional patient and family resources and facilities, innovative service developments and enhanced medical equipment. The charity also provides further staff training and development as well as additional resources including clinical nurse specialists, radiography, physics and research-based staff.
