Lorna Gilmour has extensive experience in media relations and corporate communications, currently serving in Group Media Relations at Lloyds Banking Group since November 2022 and volunteering with Beatson Cancer Charity since September 2020. Previously, Lorna held positions as Associate Director and Communications Lead at Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, Media Relations Manager at Lloyds Banking Group, and Corporate Affairs Manager at Sainsbury's Bank, among others. Lorna's career spans over two decades in public relations, starting as a Senior Account Executive at Beattie Communications and developing expertise through various roles in prominent organizations. Lorna possesses a degree in Communications from Bell College, further complemented by education at Lanark Grammar School.

Beatson Cancer Charity
We exist to enhance the experience, treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of all current and former Beatson patients and their families in the broadest possible sense. Working in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the Beatson Cancer Charity delivers non-clinical services and funding enhancements in cancer treatment, care and research at the Beatson that will contribute to changing the face of cancer treatment on a local, national and international scale. Significant funding provides additional patient and family resources and facilities, innovative service developments and enhanced medical equipment. The charity also provides further staff training and development as well as additional resources including clinical nurse specialists, radiography, physics and research-based staff.
