Nigel Felgate

Nigel Felgate is a seasoned professional in the energy and carbon emissions trading sector, currently serving as a Senior Options Trader at Beaufort Energy since February 2025. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Trader at Gunvor International BV and Portfolio Manager of The World Carbon Fund at Carbon Cap Management LLP. Nigel also held the position of Head of European Energy and Carbon Emissions Options at BNP Paribas, where significant contributions were made to market liquidity across various commodities. Earlier in the career, Nigel served as Managing Director at Commodity Options, a company established to trade options products and designated market-maker for the ICE exchange. Academic achievements include a PhD in Experimental Physics from the University of Southampton.
