Armen Arakelian

Armen Arakelian has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, with a particular focus on information systems and technologies. Armen currently serves as the Director of Information Systems and Technologies at Beaufort Memorial Hospital since April 2019. Prior to this role, Armen was the President of A2Z Healthcare IT consulting, LLC since October 2014.

Armen also held various leadership positions in different healthcare organizations. Armen served as the Chief Information Officer at J.C. Blair Memorial Health System from May 2016 to September 2019, and at Fulton County Medical Center from September 2013 to February 2017.

Armen was the Vice President of Information Systems at RegionalCare Hospital Partners from November 2011 to January 2013, and prior to that, they held the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Essent Healthcare from 2002 to November 2011.

Armen started their career as a Programmer at MEDITECH in 1990 and later held the role of Sr. Programmer Analyst at Winchester Hospital from 1993 to 1995. Armen then served as the Director of Information Systems & Telecommunications at MetroWest Medical Center from March 1995 to July 2002.

Armen Arakelian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Boston University from 1984 to 1988. Afterwards, they pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems from 1994 to 1996.
