Karla Selness

Karla Selness is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor currently serving as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Elite Recovery within Horowitz Health since August 2023. In this role, Karla developed and implemented the virtual Engage program, focusing on assisting clients facing rural barriers to care and medical restrictions. Prior to this position, Karla worked at Meridian Behavioral Health, LLC from January 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities included facilitating a bi-weekly family education program across 11 sites and specializing in care coordination and crisis management. Additionally, Karla gained experience at Beauterre Recovery Institute, providing group and individual therapy while supporting high-performing professionals with regulatory and licensing requirements. Karla holds a Bachelor's degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Metro State University, completed between 2019 and 2021.
