John Gregory is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various areas of law. As a Partner at Cairncross & Hempelmann since November 2015, John advises both emerging and established companies on formation, financing, employment agreements, equity compensation, and merger and acquisition transactions. Prior to this role, John served as an Attorney at Beacon Law Advisors, PLLC, focusing on legal consultations for small businesses and intellectual property issues. Earlier career positions include managing caseloads as an Attorney for the Snohomish County Public Defender Association and providing public defense for Kitsap County at Crawford McGilliard Peterson & Yelish. John’s legal journey began as a Law Clerk with the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and also includes experience as a Small Business Developer with Americorps VISTA. John holds an LLM in Intellectual Property from the University of Washington School of Law and a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law, complemented by a degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University.
